KMS Anesthesia Staffing LLC ("KMS", "we", "us", or "our") operates an SMS notification system to communicate shift assignments and scheduling information to healthcare professionals. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect the personal information of healthcare professionals who receive SMS notifications from KMS Anesthesia Staffing — including contracted CRNAs and CRNAs at partner hospital departments that use the KMS scheduling platform. KMS does not use SMS for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
2. Information We Collect
We collect and store the following information:
- Your name (first and last)
- Your mobile phone number
- Your role and employment status
- Your work schedule and shift assignments
- SMS delivery timestamps and status
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely for the following purposes:
- Sending you daily shift assignment notifications
- Communicating schedule changes and updates
- Processing scheduling requests you submit
- Maintaining records of message delivery for operational purposes
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored in secure cloud-based systems with industry-standard encryption and access controls. Only authorized KMS personnel and authorized personnel of partner hospital anesthesia departments (where applicable) have access to your data. We retain your information for as long as you are an active contractor with KMS or an active member of a partner hospital's scheduling roster, plus a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to operate our SMS notification system:
- Twilio — SMS delivery platform
- Supabase — database and scheduling data storage
- Vercel — application hosting
These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify. No third-party service provider uses SMS opt-in data for their own marketing.
5.1 SMS Opt-In Data Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. The third-party service providers listed above process phone numbers solely to deliver operational SMS on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using this data for any other purpose.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Opt out of SMS notifications by replying STOP to any message
- Request deletion of your information upon termination of your contract with KMS or removal from a partner hospital's scheduling roster
7. SMS Messaging Terms
Program: KMS Anesthesia Staffing Scheduling Notifications. This program sends operational work-schedule text messages only. It is not used for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
How You Opt In: You opt in by signing the KMS Anesthesia Staffing SMS Communications Consent Form during your onboarding. No messages are sent to any individual who has not provided prior express written consent on that form.
Message Types: OR assignment notifications, schedule changes, shift-release confirmations, and operational questions from the anesthesia director.
Message Identification: Messages identify both the partner hospital anesthesia department (as the operational sender) and KMS (as the platform delivering the message), typically in the format: "[Hospital Name] (via KMS): ..."
Frequency: Varies with your schedule — typically 1–5 messages per scheduled workday. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Opt Out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages.
Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the information in Section 9.
No Data Sharing: Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of our SMS notification system after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
